Nemesis: Retaliation – Xyrians Expansion is an expansion for 1–5 players with an approximately 180-minute play time, introducing a mysterious alien faction to the dangerous missions of Retaliation.

The Xyrians resemble octopuses and use advanced blending technology to hide in plain view. Their tokens may mark nothing more than an old trace—or conceal an actual Xyrian waiting to be discovered when a Marine investigates the room. A random Primeblood may also reveal the truth, creating uncertainty throughout the facility.

This independent faction can work alongside all the other races from Retaliation, adding a third additional party to the unfolding conflict. Xyrians pursue changing goals from game to game, so their presence can reshape the mission in unexpected ways.

• Hidden threats: Xyrian tokens keep you guessing until they are investigated.
• Unique serious wounds: Xyrians can trap, poison, or mark Marines with effects that continue to create danger.
• Rare rewards: Defeating a Xyrian is difficult, but victory can provide exceptional Weapons, Armor, or precious Items.
• Shifting objectives: Xyrians may infiltrate the Nest, target the most wounded player, hunt the Queen, or pursue another goal.

Their attacks go beyond standard damage. A Marine might become caught in a Xyrian net, lose valuable time while struggling free, suffer an unknown poison, or gain a special marker that causes Xyrians to hunt them over time.

Potential conflicts between Xyrians and other alien races can also be manipulated to your advantage. With unpredictable alliances, evolving objectives, and high-risk encounters, Nemesis: Retaliation – Xyrians Expansion makes every step into the unknown facility more challenging and narratively distinctive.
