Niagara is a board game for 3–5 players, with a playing time of about 45 minutes, set among rushing waterfalls and hidden jewel caches.

Players take the roles of Adventurers seeking valuable jewels in the late 18th-century world of Niagara. The goal is clear: be the first player to claim ownership of five jewels.

Reaching that goal is far from safe. The river’s speed constantly changes, influenced by the decisions of the players and by changeable weather. Every journey toward the caches and back home must be judged carefully, because a canoe that goes over the falls represents a hefty investment to replace.

• Risky expeditions: Canoes can be swept over the falls and are costly to replace.
• Jewels and victory: The first Adventurer to claim five jewels wins.
• Desperadoes: Returning Adventurers must contend with opponents who may try to plunder their riches.
