About this expansion

Nightfall: Crimson Siege is a 2012 expansion for the Nightfall deck-building game, supporting 2–5 players in approximately 45 minutes. It carries the conflict to the Vatican, humanity’s final stronghold in Europe, where players prepare for the approaching hordes of Ghouls.

As in Nightfall, players draft Minions and send them to attack opponents, inflicting wounds along the way. Crimson Siege expands those confrontations with new cards and a fresh way to bring more Minions into play.

  • 24 Minion cards, with eight copies of each
  • 30 Summon cards in a separate, standalone deck
  • A variety of Ghouls that can repeatedly return to the Summon deck

Summon is a new card type. Whenever a card bearing “Summon X” resolves its ability, draw the top card of the Summon deck and place a Minion into play under your control. This lets players call additional forces into the battle while the siege intensifies.

The Summon deck contains a variety of Ghouls. Unlike other Minions in Nightfall, a Ghoul that is destroyed, exiled, or otherwise removed from play returns to the Summon deck. As a result, the supply of Ghouls never runs out, giving players a renewable horde to unleash against their opponents.

With familiar faces returning to aid the weary survivors, Nightfall: Crimson Siege adds a desperate final chapter to the struggle. Fortify the city, summon your forces, and send the Ghoul hordes into the fight.
