About this board game

Oak is a board game for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 90 minutes, in which you lead a druidic order seeking the Arch-Oak’s approval and ancient secrets.

At the heart of a vast, hidden forest stands the Arch-Oak, a tree that has endured since the world was young. Four druidic orders gather around its roots, each hoping to prove that it deserves to remain beneath the tree and learn the secrets held within.

Your order begins small and insignificant. By choosing your actions wisely and using your druids efficiently, you can grow in power and stature. Your path may involve establishing sacred places, erecting rune-etched monoliths, recruiting a greater following, reading omens, or defending your order’s beliefs.

• Sacrificers use force to protect their order’s beliefs.

As your influence expands, you can gain the friendship and help of otherworldly creatures, including mischievous brownies, terrible merrows, and magical pixies. You can also learn powerful spells of the wild and uncover mighty artifacts.

Oak invites you to balance ambition with the natural order of the forest. You might even risk upsetting that balance by creating new sacred places to house your growing flock of druids. Will your order be worthy of the Arch-Oak, and will you unlock the secrets of the ancients?
