About this expansion

Origins: Ancient Wonders is an expansion for Origins: First Builders for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes.

This expansion contains two separate modules that can be added to your game independently or combined. Together, they introduce new ways to shape your civilization while offering greater variety and direction during play.

The Ancient Wonders module adds a new type of building to your city. It includes eight majestic ancient wonders, giving you more variability and additional options as you develop your civilization.

The Trials of the Builders module adds end-of-round scoring objectives. These objectives challenge you to find the right balance between pursuing the advancements required by the current round and continuing to progress toward the personal goals you have already established for your civilization.

• Play with a predetermined game length.

Trials of the Builders also changes how the game ends by establishing a predetermined length and eliminating all other end-game conditions. This creates a clearly defined structure for your plans and scoring priorities throughout the game.

Whether you want to broaden your building options, add demanding round-by-round objectives, or use both additions at once, Origins: Ancient Wonders provides flexible modules for expanding your Origins: First Builders experience. Released in 2022, it gives your civilization new possibilities to pursue and new choices to weigh.
