Power Plants: Kickstarter Edition is a magical garden-building game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. Released in 2022, it challenges rival wizards to cultivate the most valuable patches of magical plants in a shared garden.

Each turn, choose a patch tile from your hand and add it to the growing garden. You can activate the new tile’s dynamic plant power, or trigger the slightly weaker but still useful grow powers of every tile it touches. As the garden expands, carefully deploy your loyal sprites to gain control of increasingly valuable flora.

Manipulate the garden’s growth, gather magical gems, and repel competing wizards as you build your influence. When the garden is complete and everything is in full bloom, the player controlling the most potent patches comes out ahead.

This Kickstarter Edition includes several additions and upgrades beyond the retail version:

• Spades: five spade tokens that let players discard their token to swap a patch from their hand with one from the Nursery.
• Sprite Ponds: two pond tiles featuring special scoring conditions.
• Stewards: ten Steward cards that provide exclusive player powers.
• Wizards: five additional wizard meeples, one per player, with modified rules that help protect new patches.
• A custom Trayforge box insert, upgraded gem tokens and sprite shapes, and a silkscreened tile bag.

With its blend of tile placement, shifting control, asymmetric powers, and tactical timing, Power Plants turns a shared garden into a contest of magical horticulture.
