About this board game
Push a Monster is a 15-minute dexterity game for 2–4 players, set in a monster arena where creatures tussle for position on an elevated platform.
On each turn, a player pushes a monster, trying to move it onto the platform without knocking any monsters already there off. Every shove can change the arena, making careful positioning just as important as bold moves.
The monsters may push, squeeze, throw elbows, and even poke one another with their sharp fingers. As players take their turns, they must balance the desire to improve their own position with the risk of sending another monster tumbling away.
- Push monsters toward the elevated platform.
- Try not to push off monsters that are already there.
- Reward other players when monsters fall.
- Line up collected tokens to compete for the longest row.
If a monster falls during your turn, each other player receives one token for every monster that fell. This unusual reward system means that a dramatic mistake can benefit your opponents, adding tension to every push.
At the end of the game, everyone lines up the tokens they have won. The player with the longest row is the winner. With its direct pushing action, playful monster conflict, and a clear final scoring goal, Push a Monster delivers a compact contest of timing and control.
Released in 2015, it is designed for a small group and a short play time, making each turn and every monster that stays on the platform matter.
