Kingdomino: Age of Giants

About this expansion

Kingdomino: Age of Giants is an expansion for 2–5 players that adds new challenges and giant tokens to Kingdomino or Queendomino, with games lasting about 20 minutes.

The expansion introduces new dominoes, which are shuffled together with those from the base game. Some of these dominoes bring giants into your kingdom, while others show footsteps that let you move a giant to an opponent’s kingdom.

When you add a domino with a giant on it, you must place a giant token in your kingdom. The token covers one crown of your choice, so that crown will not score points at the end of the game. If you add a tile with footsteps, you remove a giant token from your own kingdom and give it to an opponent, who must use it to cover a crown in their kingdom.

Before each game, two challenge tiles are drawn to create extra scoring opportunities. These tiles provide different goals, such as earning 5 bonus points for each lake tile surrounding your castle or gaining 20 bonus points when your castle is in one of the four corners of your kingdom.

With its new threats, player interaction, and variable objectives, Kingdomino: Age of Giants changes how you plan your kingdom. You must weigh the value of new dominoes against the risk of covering crowns, while looking for opportunities to send giants away and complete the selected challenges.
