Quix!

About this board game

Quix! is a timed word challenge for 2–8 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes. Players race to guess words in given categories, each beginning with a randomly revealed letter, before time runs out.

Every turn combines a letter, a die roll, and instructions for the current game mode. Players must react quickly and use their knowledge to produce answers while trying to outperform their opponents. The changing game modes keep each round focused on a new challenge.

Special cards add an interactive twist to the competition. By using guesses and Eureca cards, players can influence the score and disrupt their opponents in several ways:

• Steal points from another player.
• Cancel an opponent’s guess.
• Receive points for a completely made-up word.

For an added timed experience, Quix! has an app that works as both a timer and a randomizer for the events. It can support the race against the clock while helping determine what happens during play.

The game uses a scoreboard to track progress. As players accumulate points, the first player to reach the end of the scoreboard is declared the winner. With its blend of quick thinking, category knowledge, surprise effects, and playful interference, Quix! turns word guessing into a lively contest for the whole table.
