Qwixx: Big Points

About this expansion

Qwixx: Big Points is an expansion for Qwixx for 2–5 players, adding a new scoring system through two 80-page scorepads.

Each scoresheet keeps the four original colored rows and adds two more: a red/yellow row between the red and yellow rows, and a green/blue row between the green and blue rows. These dual-colored rows give players additional opportunities to cross out numbers and build bigger totals.

When a number appears in a color you have already crossed out, you may be able to mark the matching number in its dual-colored row. For example, after crossing out the red 5, you can cross out the red/yellow 5 when a red 5 is presented later, whether from your own roll or an opponent’s roll.

The original left-to-right rule still applies. Once a number has been crossed out in a row, numbers to its left can no longer be crossed out, so marking the red/yellow 5 closes off that row’s 2, 3, and 4.

The game ends when a second row has been completed or when a player has failed to cross off anything for the fourth time. Players then score their four single-colored rows, with the Xs in each dual-colored row added to the total Xs in both of its associated colored rows.

With its extra rows and carefully timed scoring opportunities, Qwixx: Big Points offers a fresh way to pursue the highest score while retaining the core structure of Qwixx.
