About this board game

RagnaRok Star is a strategy board game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting about 45 minutes. In this humorous clash of Viking mythology and rock culture, each band seeks to deliver the greatest concert of all time and earn a place in Valhallalala.

Four Viking bands can rock, but they begin without any fans. To build an audience, players program their band’s actions and then discover whether their plans work as expected. Programming and resolution happen simultaneously, keeping the game moving without waiting between turns.

Each player receives a tablet for their band and an erasable marker. The tablet features five musicians, each with specific capabilities that can shape your strategy and create opportunities for interaction with the other bands.

• Collect fans to grow your concert audience.
• Steal fans from rival bands.
• Protect your drakkar.
• Navigate across the game’s Viking rock world.
• Choose whether to attack, defend, or play as a kamikaze.

When the game ends, players count their Glory points. Your score depends on the number of fans in your concert hall and the contracts you completed. The band with the highest score is called by Odin and sails its drakkar on Odin’s mythical guitar to ÁsgardRock for the most powerful concert of RagnaRok.

With its playful theme, allusions to rock culture, and interactive programming, RagnaRok Star offers plenty of room for bold plans and unexpected outcomes. If players finish with the same Glory score, settle the result with a fight of Air Guitar.
