About this expansion

Rallyman: DIRT – R5 is an expansion for 1–6 players with a 60-minute play time, bringing six classic rally car models and a fresh style of play to your races.

R5 cars use only five black Gear dice. Their smaller set of Gear dice comes with a distinctive addition: the green Boost die. This new die introduces different possibilities when accelerating and encourages players to devise new strategies for their races.

The Boost die works as the opposite of a Brake die. Instead of slowing down, it allows you to skip a gear when accelerating, giving the R5 cars their defining twist. Learning how to use this ability is central to exploring the expansion’s fresh play style.

Rallyman: DIRT – R5 includes a selection of car models, driver cards, dashboards, and the components needed to add the Boost mechanic to the game. The contents are designed around six R5 cars and their unique approach to gear management.
