Rattus: Jester Promo Card is a BoardGameGeek-exclusive promo card for 2–4 players, associated with a 45-minute game experience and released in 2011. Designed by Åse and Henrik Berg, it brings a playful and unusual action to Rattus.

During the Middle Ages, a jester’s role was to entertain the people. This theme connects the card to both the historical setting of Rattus and BoardGameGeek, whose mascot Ernie even appears on the card.

The player who has the Jester may take two cubes from their supply and drop them onto the board from a height of approximately 30 to 40 centimetres. The cubes settle wherever they land, making this a distinctive physical action that adds an element of unpredictable placement to the game.
