Reality Shift

About this board game

Reality Shift is a fast-paced 3D racing game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 40 minutes. Set in a retro virtual reality world, it challenges players to race light bikes across a track built from large magnetic Reality Cubes.

Each cube has magnetic facings marked with different paths. Because the light bikes are not constrained by gravity, a magnetic figure can travel along any accessible route on the tops and sides of the cubes. Find the best way forward and reach the finish before your opponents.

Speed alone will not secure victory. On each turn, players can play a card to hack the track, moving a Reality Cube and changing the shape of the course. Cubes can slide, rotate, flip, or tilt, creating a constantly shifting raceway.

• Transform the board when your route to the finish is blocked.
• Make your own path shorter by changing cube positions.
• Block an opponent’s route and disrupt their progress.
• Crush a rival with a Reality Cube, forcing them to respawn at the start.

The magnetic cube system makes every move a mixture of racing and spatial tactics. Players must react to an evolving track while deciding when to improve their own route and when to interfere with the competition.

Originally released in 2022, Reality Shift combines three-dimensional movement, shifting terrain, and direct player interaction in a race where being faster, smarter, and more ruthless can make the difference between victory and defeat.
