About this board game

Red Carpet is a 2025 board game for 2–4 players that takes about 45 minutes, casting everyone as a photographer at an Academy Awards ceremony inspired by Hollywood’s golden age.

Celebrities arrive in limousines and parade down the red carpet while you compete to capture the most valuable portraits. Place your mobile phone on pedestals around the board to find the right position, then look for the perfect angle as the scene develops.

Portrait values depend on what your camera captures. Whether a celebrity faces forward, stands in the foreground, or has advertising in the background can all affect your score, adding points in some situations and subtracting them in others.

• Use cards to perform different actions during your turn.
• Place your tripod in a space in the press area.
• Move celebrities and other characters along the red carpet.
• Position your phone on a pedestal to frame your portraits.

The red carpet is not occupied by celebrities alone. Anonymous people also appear in the scene, making it important to secure a clear view and choose an angle that shows your subjects at their best.

Beyond photography, you can influence the ceremony by voting for your favourite nominees in each category. When the awards are finally presented, portraits of the winners become especially valuable: their value is doubled at this crucial moment.

With its changing parade, positional decisions, portrait criteria, and award voting, Red Carpet turns the ceremony into a contest for the front pages of tomorrow’s newspapers.
