Relic Expedition

About this board game

Relic Expedition is a jungle exploration board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. It combines a variable board, hand management, collectible treasures, limited backpack space, and dangerous wild animals.

The game begins with only a few jungle tiles revealed. As players explore, new tiles appear and the board grows in unpredictable ways, creating a different layout and challenge each time. Hidden throughout the jungle are six types of treasures made from six different materials.

To win, collect four matching treasures: they must be either four of the same type or four made from the same material. Your expedition is not complete until you fly away from the jungle with your treasures and claim victory.

Reaching the treasures requires more than simply moving through the jungle. You will need to manage supplies that help you travel through difficult terrain and survive the dangers around you, while making careful decisions about what to carry.

• Machetes and mountain climbing gear for navigating the terrain
• Panther traps and tranquilizer darts for dealing with wild animals
• Vines and other supplies that support your expedition
• A limited backpack that forces difficult choices between treasures and equipment

As you discover more valuable treasures, your backpack becomes increasingly difficult to manage. In Relic Expedition, every new find can mean leaving behind a useful supply, making hand management and inventory decisions central to your journey through the jungle.
