About this board game
Resistor_ is a fast, intense two-player competitive card game that plays in about 20 minutes. You take control of one of two supercomputers directing your country’s global thermonuclear warheads, competing to drive your opponent up to DEFCON 5.
The central challenge is manipulating double-sided cards both on the table and in your hand. Use them to create a continuous line across the board and into your enemy’s base. One side builds the red line for DEEP RED, while the other works with blue for BLU9000.
- Players: 2
- Play time: Approximately 20 minutes
- Core play: Manipulate double-sided cards to extend your line toward the opposing base
- Turn structure: Take three actions every turn, completing all three before the turn ends
Every turn gives you three actions, and you must take all three before the turn is over. This fixed rhythm keeps the contest moving while you decide how to develop your line and respond to the opposing computer.
Resistor cards add another layer to the battle. Play them strategically when you want to shape the confrontation, or use them to introduce chaos into the contest. The result is a compact head-to-head game where every card can affect the race across the board.
In Resistor_, victory goes to the first player who gets their enemy up to DEFCON 5. With its direct objective, colorful opposing sides, and rapid turns, it offers a focused competitive experience for exactly two players.
