Rise of The Gnomes is an area control game for 1–5 players that takes about 120 minutes to play. In the fantasy land of Brumancia, you manage a brewery empire during a crisis: the Gnome Union has seized DragonKeep, halted beer production, and begun a revolution.

Compete for control of Brumancia by winning the loyalty of beer customers and expanding your regions. Use worker placement and card drafting to perform actions, carefully considering the order in which you choose them. In Rise of The Gnomes, player strategy—not luck—determines how successfully your actions unfold.

Gloomtail the Eternal has emerged from her sea lair, adding another threat to your brewery empire. Spend gold to pay her tributes and prevent her from eating your customers or burning your breweries to the ground. Earn points by expanding regions, building breweries, recruiting allies, and pleasing the powers of Brumancia.

The Gnome Union acts as an automated competing player, forcing everyone to balance personal ambition with the need to keep the revolution in check. After five rounds, the player or Gnome Union with the most points wins, though some modes require the players to defeat the Gnomes together.

• Solo: Defeat the Gnome Union on your own.
• Cooperative: Work together; every player must finish ahead of the Gnomes.
• Competitive: Compete with friends while defeating the Gnome Union.
• Cutthroat: Compete while opponents control the Gnome Union.

With player boards, game board tiles, brewer meeples, breweries, customer cubes, cards, and numerous tokens, Rise of The Gnomes offers four distinct ways to face the rebellion and pursue victory.
