About this board game

RisiKo! is a strategy board game for 3–6 players, designed for a 60-minute play time. In Italy, it is synonymous with strategy and is regarded as a cult game with thousands of fans.

In essence, RisiKo! is a Risk clone, but it introduces several notable changes that give it an identity of its own. Among these differences, players receive a card at the beginning of their turn, and the game includes a border between the Middle East and China—features not present in Risk.

The game has been renewed in a more compact format with modern, engaging graphics. Its rules also offer an optional way to control the length of a session through Time Attack, a variant that sets the game duration at one hour by speeding up some phases.

Time Attack is especially suited to players who want the familiar strategic challenge in a more clearly defined time frame. By accelerating selected game phases, it provides a faster way to play without being presented as a separate game.

RisiKo! also became the starting point for a wider game family. The release of futuRisiKo! by Spartaco Albertarelli in 1992, followed by additional releases, helped establish the game as a series in its own right. For fans of classic strategy games, this Italian favorite combines a familiar foundation with distinctive rules and a modern presentation.
