About this expansion
Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island – Herb Garden and Pen is a 1–4 player game experience with an approximate play time of 120 minutes, released in 2017.
This content features two special tiles that can become valuable parts of your Camp: the Herb Garden and the Pen. Each one rewards a successful Gather Action, then develops through the game’s Production phases.
With the Herb Garden, a successful Gather Action from a tile lets you place a black pawn and move it further in each Production phase. After the herbs have grown, they allow you to heal one wound. Until then, and for all other in-game purposes, the Herb Garden is considered part of the Camp.
The Pen works with animal resources. After a successful Gather Action from an animal resource, place a black marker on a space of the Pen tile. When both spaces contain black markers, your animals are breeding. From that point onward, the Pen produces one food in every Production phase until the end of the game.
- Herb Garden: grow herbs that can heal one wound.
- Pen: fill both spaces to trigger breeding and produce one food per Production phase.
- Camp integration: both tiles are considered part of the Camp for all other in-game purposes.
These additions give successful gathering a longer-term purpose, whether you are cultivating healing herbs or establishing a dependable food supply. Both were available at Essen Spiel 2017. The Pen looks the same as the earlier released Runch.
For players expanding their Robinson Crusoe experience, Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island – Herb Garden and Pen adds two clearly defined development paths to the island’s Camp.
