About this expansion

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island – Crewmen Deck I is a special-character card set for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 180 minutes. Released in 2015, it adds six different Crewman cards that can reduce the difficulty of a scenario.

Before starting, choose one Crewman card, regardless of the number of players. Crewmen are not considered players: they do not affect Shelter, Roof, or Palisade costs, or other rules that depend on the player count.

The Artist and the Old Cook follow the same rules as Friday, with important changes. Both require Shelter or they receive Wounds during the Night phase, and Determination tokens are useless for them. The Old Cook is affected by weather, while the Artist gives the First Player +1 Determination during the Morale phase. During each Hunting action with the Old Cook, the Beast provides +1 Food and +1 Fur.

  • Pilgrim: once each round during the Action phase, a player may re-roll one Action die of any color. Pilgrim is immune to all game effects.
  • Quatermaster: each Starting Item can be used four times instead of two.
  • Sawbones: healing a Wound that passes the Morale decrease symbol increases Morale by 1. Sawbones has a limited life, is affected by Weather, does not eat at Night, and provides no additional pawn.
  • Tribesman: allows the Hunting deck to be played face-up and provides no additional pawn. Tribesman is immune to all game effects.

With its varied abilities, Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island – Crewmen Deck I offers a focused way to tailor the challenge while preserving the core scenario structure.
