About this board game

Robotech: Reconstruction is a 3–4 player board game that takes about 120 minutes, with four factions competing to shape Earth according to their own visions.

Each faction has a distinct objective. The Robotech Defense Force seeks to preserve peace between humans and Zentraedi civilians. The Zentraedi Rebellion aims to radicalize those civilians and recruit them to a rebellion against humanity and Earth, while the Anti-Unification League works to rebuild thriving cities independent from RDF control.

The Robotech Expeditionary Force fears an impending alien attack and seeks to unite Earth’s population behind the RDF for the planet’s future defense. To win, you must achieve your faction’s goals before another faction completes its own. Every relationship matters: you have a half-ally, a half-enemy, and a full enemy.

The game lasts up to four rounds. At the start of a turn, a player may trade one Event Card with another player. The player then plays one Event Card, which is tied to a faction and allows that faction to take additional actions during the round.

• Take Command: After resolving the Event Card’s actions, the player undertakes two actions.
• Event Cards: Players receive random and predetermined cards as the game progresses.
• Resolution Phase: After every player and faction has completed a turn, all factions take additional actions.

Your choices are constrained when you play your own faction’s Event Card before Taking Command, making timing and cooperation important. You must work carefully toward victory while ensuring that rival factions cannot stop you. Released in 2023, Robotech: Reconstruction combines competing goals, shifting cooperation, and faction-specific actions in a tense struggle over Earth’s future.
