Rumble in the Dungeon

About this board game

Rumble in the Dungeon is a bluffing and guessing game for 3–6 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Twelve characters begin inside a dungeon filled with adventurers, monsters, danger, and the dead king’s treasure.

Each player secretly receives two character tokens. On your turn, move one character through the dungeon or choose a victim and eliminate that character from the game. Your actions may reveal clues about your hidden identities—but you can also deliberately move someone else to send opponents in the wrong direction.

The central challenge is to protect your own secret characters while working out which characters belong to the other players. Everyone is trying to identify and expel rival characters, yet every move can be a bluff. The player who keeps their secret characters in the dungeon the longest wins the round.

• Hidden identities: Control two secret characters while concealing them from the table.
• Bluffing and deduction: Use movement and elimination to create clues—or misleading evidence.
• Treasure race: If a character exits the dungeon with the dead king’s treasure chest, that character wins the round.

With its simple rules and family-friendly theme, Rumble in the Dungeon turns every character’s movement into a question: are they being guided by their owner, or sacrificed as a distraction? Watch the choices of your opponents, keep your own adventurers safe, and decide when to make a risky move for the treasure.

Released in 2012, the game also integrates with Rumble in the House.
