Rurik: Stone & Blade

About this expansion

Rurik: Stone & Blade is a modular expansion for Rurik: Dawn of Kiev, supporting 1–4 players and a play time of approximately 140 minutes.

The throne of Kievan Rus is within reach, but sibling rivals, opposing troops, and rebel factions stand in the way. Build epic structures, capture enemies for ransom, and confront growing opposition as you pursue your destiny.

The expansion is divided into recommended core content and three optional modules. The core content adds more gameplay variety with minimal rules overhead, and it is recommended for all future plays of Rurik: Dawn of Kiev.

• Module A – Epic Structures: Build structures to cement your legacy.
• Module B – Warfare: Capture opposing troops and hold them for ransom.
• Module C – Rebel Factions: Suppress the growing rebel opposition.

Each module can be added individually, or you can combine any selection of them to shape your game. This modular approach lets players choose whether to focus on monumental construction, the pressure of warfare, rebel opposition, or a mixture of all three.

Released in 2021, Rurik: Stone & Blade expands the contest for power while remaining tied to the base game. A copy of Rurik: Dawn of Kiev is required to play.
