Samurai Battles is a historical board game for 2–99 players, with an approximately 90-minute play time, set amid the battles of feudal Japan.

Take command of brave warriors and assemble an army from magnificently detailed, historically accurate miniatures. Build an endless variety of battlefields with beautifully painted terrain and elevation tiles, then face your opponent in a contest of strategy, tactics, luck, and honor.

Two different game systems give Samurai Battles distinct ways to experience medieval warfare:

• Commands & Colors: Richard Borg’s award-winning system uses fast-paced, card-driven commands to represent the “fog of war.” Special Dragon cards, along with Honor and Fortune tokens, can influence your luck during the battle.
• Art of Tactic: Konstantin Krivenko’s system focuses on wits and strategy. Players secretly plan their moves each turn, then resolve their warriors’ actions simultaneously, just like a real battle.

Both systems are easy to learn while offering deep strategic and tactical challenges for fans of historical board games. The varied battlefield layouts and two rule systems provide flexible ways to explore the excitement of Japan’s medieval conflicts.
