About this board game
Small World of Warcraft is a fantasy strategy game for 2–5 players, with play time of about 80 minutes, set in the crowded world of Azeroth.
Players lead races from the Alliance and the Horde, including Orcs, Dwarves, Trolls, and Worgen, as they compete for control of a world too small for everyone. Each game pairs the Warcraft universe’s 16 races with 20 special powers in a random combination, creating a different set of possibilities every time.
On your turn, use the tiles of your chosen race to occupy territories, normally expanding into adjacent areas and potentially defeating weaker enemy races along the way. You can also seek control of legendary terrains and powerful artifacts to help your race pursue dominance.
- Choose a race and special power combination.
- Occupy territories and challenge opposing races.
- Score one coin for each territory your races occupy at the end of your turn.
- Put an overextended race into decline and lead a new one.
Every empire eventually reaches its limits. When you send a race into decline, flip its tiles to their black-and-white side, then choose a new race-and-power combination at the start of a later turn. You may have one active race and one race in decline on the board at the same time, while your occupation total can change according to your abilities and the territories you hold.
After the final round, the player with the most coins wins. With its Warcraft setting and shifting empires, Small World of Warcraft combines territorial conquest, special powers, and carefully timed decline in a contest for Azeroth.
