About this board game

Snit’s Revenge! is a two-player board game that plays in about 20 minutes, first released in 1977. One player controls a single Bolotomus and its immune system, while the other commands an infestation of Snits attacking from within.

The Bolotomus player oversees several types of defenders. Immobile Snorgs represent the organs, mobile Runnungitms can attack the invading Snits, and Makums can create additional Runnungitms or replace Snorgs that have been lost.

The Snits’ objective is to locate the hidden Spark of Life. However, not every organ contains what they seek: some conceal explosive Splops instead. This creates a dangerous search as the Snit player attempts to ravage the Bolotomus’s internal organs.

  • Central conflict: the Bolotomus’s immune system versus the Snits

Originally published in The Dragon Magazine #11, Snit’s Revenge! later received three boxed editions from TSR. Those versions made several changes from the magazine edition, primarily involving the Bolotomus turn order.

A further revised version was eventually published in Snits!. With its contrasting player roles, unusual internal-organ setting, and hidden objective, this compact game presents a distinctive battle between an immune system and the creatures invading it.
