About this expansion
Snowdonia: The Daffodil Line is an advanced scenario for 1–4 players, with an approximate play time of 45 minutes. It takes its theme from a historic railway in Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, England.
The Daffodil Line ran between Ledbury Town and the City of Gloucester. It opened in 1885, and most of its route was built over the southern section of the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal. Newent, the current home of designer Tony Boydell, was part of the line.
This scenario changes the conventions of Snowdonia with several distinctive additions. Alongside the setting inspired by the railway and canal route, players encounter:
- Daffodil collection
- Stone breaking
- Canal filling
These additions give Snowdonia: The Daffodil Line its own focused identity as an advanced scenario. The combination of railway history, canal heritage, and unusual new activities makes it a notable entry for players looking for a different Snowdonia experience.
The scenario was released in 2013 as a limited run of approximately 750 copies. Its specific connection to the Daffodil Line, together with its additional daffodil, stone, and canal elements, makes it a distinctive release for enthusiasts of the game and its historical setting.
