About this expansion

Snowdonia: The Necropolis Line & Neuhauser Bockerlbahn is an expansion for 1–5 players, with an approximately 75-minute play time, featuring two new scenarios for Snowdonia.

These scenarios take the game beyond the damp North of Wales, transporting players and their shovels to London and the forests of Germany. Each scenario also gives the Surveyor a new role, adding a different focus to the familiar Snowdonia setting.

In The Necropolis Line, designed by Tony Boydell, players follow the specially built nineteenth-century railway created to transport London’s dead to leafy suburban cemeteries. The Surveyor has passed away, so players must build the line and construct a grave in which to lay her to rest.

The Neuhauser Bockerlbahn, designed by Sebastian Bleasdale, is inspired by the aftermath of a great storm that flattened hundreds of thousands of trees. The railway’s purpose is to transport this useful wood to lumber mills. In this scenario, rubble becomes fallen trees, and it cannot provide contract card bonuses until it has been converted by your mill.

The expansion includes a single deck of 33 cards and rules for both scenarios. Its contents include:

• Alternative contract cards for The Necropolis Line
• New trains designed specifically for The Bockerlbahn
• New trains for general use, including an Elephant and a caterpillar-tracked Traction Engine
• New station cards

With two contrasting settings and distinct objectives, Snowdonia: The Necropolis Line & Neuhauser Bockerlbahn offers fresh ways to use the Surveyor while expanding the railways, trains, and cards available for Snowdonia.
