Soul Raiders is a story-driven cooperative fantasy adventure for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 240 minutes. Players become powerful warrior-mages sworn to protect the world of Kivros, explore the ruins of forgotten civilisations, and send tortured souls beyond the Veil.

Designed like a book, the game unfolds across chapters, with each session lasting approximately 1–2 hours. Every chapter presents a distinct setting where the heroes complete quests, gather information, and increase their power while an overarching narrative develops from one book to the next.

Its streamlined system is built for a fast-paced, cinematic experience. Players act simultaneously rather than following a fixed turn order, moving together or splitting the party as they explore a setting made from tiles. Each tile offers places to interact with the environment, overcome opposing forces, and follow the story as it unfolds across different scenes.

Cooperation is vital because the heroes share a common health pool. Damage advances the party’s health marker, and if it goes too far, the whole group fails to complete the chapter. Meanwhile, the Threat track acts as another timer, advancing as new creatures and events appear and potentially leading to capture if the heroes remain idle.
