About this board game
Space Hulk (Fourth Edition) is a two-player board game with an average play time of 60 minutes, recreating battles between Space Marines and Genestealers aboard a drifting space hulk.
From the depths of space, an ancient vessel approaches the Imperium of Mankind. Within its cramped corridors and tomb-like chambers, thousands of Genestealers emerge from hibernation, while the Space Marines enter the derelict ship to carry out deadly missions and defeat the alien menace.
One player commands the Space Marines, and the other controls the opposing Genestealer horde. Fast-paced rules capture the tense atmosphere of missions deep inside a space hulk, where split-second decisions can determine victory.
The Fourth Edition adds new mission-focused elements and four extra missions, expanding the challenges faced by both sides. Notable additions include:
- Boarding Torpedoes and Breach Counters marking where they hit, or where something else has breached the ship.
- A Damage Control Room and a Turbo-lift Tile, allowing multiple levels to be cleared of Genestealers.
Three additional mini-campaign packs were released for iPad: Dark Angels – Bringers of Sorrow, Ultramarines – Duty and Honour, and Space Wolves – Return to Kalidus. Each campaign contains three chapter-specific missions, rules for creating new missions, and a brief history of its Chapter.
With opposing forces, dangerous enclosed environments, and missions built around decisive choices, Space Hulk presents a focused science-fiction conflict for two players.
