Star Realms: Megahauler Promo Card

About this expansion

Star Realms: Megahauler Promo Card is a 2014 promo card for two players, with a listed play time of 20 minutes.

Costing 7, Megahauler offers a substantial combination of authority gain and ship acquisition. When played, it lets you gain 5 authority and acquire any ship without paying its cost. The acquired ship is then placed on top of your deck.

That top-deck placement is a defining part of the card’s effect. It makes the acquired ship the next card drawn from your deck, while the authority gain provides an immediate boost. Megahauler can therefore combine two distinct benefits in a single play: strengthening your authority total and adding a ship to your upcoming options.

Megahauler is marked Blue and includes an additional Blue ability: draw a card. This gives the card another clearly defined effect to accompany its cost, authority gain, and free ship acquisition.

• Cost: 7
• Authority: Gain 5 authority
• Acquisition: Acquire any ship without paying its cost
• Deck placement: Put the acquired ship on top of your deck
• Blue ability: Draw a card

Star Realms: Megahauler Promo Card is also notable for its alternate-art version, which was released in Star Realms: Promo Pack I. This gives the promo card a documented connection to another Star Realms promotional release while preserving its listed effects and cost.
