About this board game
Star Trek: Galactic Enterprises is a negotiation and profit-making game for 3 to 8 players, with a play time of approximately 45 minutes. Set aboard Deep Space 9, it puts players in the roles of Ferengi competing to earn the most profit.
Players buy and sell legal and illegal wares while seeking to monopolize particular items for greater returns. When several Ferengi acquire the same goods, the market becomes a contest of negotiation and instinct.
- Buy and sell wares to build profit.
- Compete to monopolize particular items.
- Negotiate whether to cooperate or undercut your rivals.
- Use special action cards to disrupt other Ferengi.
Cooperation may allow players to share the same profit, but agreements can be risky. A Ferengi who promises to work together may instead sell at a lower price, attempting to take all the profit for themselves. Reading the other players and choosing when to cooperate—or betray a deal—is central to the game.
Special action cards can interfere with the business of other Ferengi, creating additional opportunities to disrupt their plans. Every transaction and agreement carries the possibility of a sharper move from a rival.
In Star Trek: Galactic Enterprises, profit is the measure of success. The player who earns the most becomes the First Clerk, claiming the top position among the competing Ferengi. Released in 2018, the game brings the pursuit of commerce, negotiation, and opportunity to the Star Trek universe.
