Star Wars: Trading Card Game is a two-player trading card game for a 45-minute battle between the light side and the dark side.

Players engage in full-scale battles with cards representing key elements of the Star Wars universe. The original first-edition decks focus on Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, offering a game built around characters, ships, and devices.

To play a first full game, you need two 60-card decks, a set of six-sided dice, damage counters, two Force meters, and a playmat showing the three battle zones. Players can collect the necessary cards or print out two decks.

As a trading card game, Star Wars: Trading Card Game is available through two-player starter packs, individual deck starters, and booster packs. The 2002 release brings the Star Wars setting to a collectible card format where players take sides and confront one another across space, ground, and character areas.
