About this expansion

Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game – Z-95 Headhunter Expansion Pack is a two-player starfighter expansion with an approximately 20-minute play time, released in 2014. It introduces the Z-95 Headhunter, a cheap, durable, and reliable Rebel starfighter that served throughout the Galactic Civil War.

In many ways, the Z-95 Headhunter was the precursor to the X-wing. Although the X-wing later outclassed it in most respects, the Z-95 could perform a tighter turn and remained useful in close air support roles.

The Z-95 Headhunter enters the game as the Rebel starfighter with the lowest squad point cost. None of the expansion’s four ship cards costs more than nineteen squad points, while the Bandit Squadron Pilot costs just twelve. That ties it with the Imperial Academy Pilot as the lowest-cost starfighter in the game.

Rather than flying like a TIE fighter, the Z-95 comes with focus and target lock actions, along with the ability to load and fire a missile. The expansion includes two missile upgrades: Assault Missiles and the deadly Ion Pulse Missiles.

  • One Z-95 Headhunter miniature
  • Four ship cards and five upgrade cards
  • One maneuver dial
  • All tokens necessary to bring the Z-95 Headhunter to battle

With its low squad point cost, tighter turning capability, and missile access, the Z-95 Headhunter Expansion Pack offers a compact Rebel option for players building a squadron around affordability and dependable support.
