About this board game

StarDriven: Gateway is a space adventure game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 90 minutes. Each player commands a starship and crew while determining the fate of distant colonies near an ancient alien gateway.

Choose an episode during setup to play competitively, cooperatively, or in solo mode. Your objective is to become the most renowned and respected crew by earning the most points through daring actions and careful management.

Running your starship means assigning crew members to stations on your ship board, then assigning dice to activate ship actions. Move and explore space, encounter raiders, face anomalies, and use crew abilities and skills to meet mission requirements and unlock their bonuses.

• Promote your crew and recruit Freelancers
• Research Anomalies and complete Missions
• Manage your ship’s power, weapons, and shields

Each round, players take turns clockwise. On your turn, you must take two actions, along with any free actions you choose, before ending your turn by passing or spending one to recruit a Freelancer or promote a crew member aboard your ship. The round concludes when each player activates the Warbound.

As you develop your crew and pursue objectives, every decision can contribute to your final score. When an end-game condition is met, players calculate their points to determine the winner. With multiple play modes and a focus on exploration, crew development, missions, and ship operations, StarDriven: Gateway offers a flexible journey into the unknown, released in 2026.
