About this board game

Sunken City is a board game for 2–4 players that takes about 45 minutes, challenging players to raise a city lost beneath the sea and uncover its ancient treasure.

The ruins of this forgotten civilization lie below the waves, waiting to be restored. Players raise the old city building by building, then construct pathways that let them reach those buildings and search for valuable treasures.

Every effort takes place under the watch of Neptune, the maritime protector of the area. Furious at the interfering humans, Neptune streaks across the board and smashes everything he encounters, threatening the city as it rises again.

The central challenge of Sunken City is balancing the search for treasure with the danger posed by Neptune’s destructive movement. The city may be rebuilt, but it can also be brought crashing down before players have finished exploring it.

For 2–4 players, this 2004 game offers a focused race to recover the greatest share of the ruins’ riches. The player who finds the most treasure is victorious, allowing the sunken city to rest once more.
