Survive The Island

About this board game

Survive The Island is a cutthroat game for 2–5 players, with a play time of about 45 minutes, in which adventurers race to escape a sinking island before its volcanoes erupt.

The island is built from 40 hexagonal tiles, but the landscape does not remain intact for long. As tiles are removed, the island slowly disappears beneath the ocean, forcing players to move their people toward the safety of the surrounding islands.

Each player controls ten adventurers, with individual values ranging from 1 to 5. Evacuating especially valuable people can make a major difference to the final score, so every move involves weighing safety against the temptation to pursue a higher-value escape.

• Move adventurers from the sinking island toward surrounding islands.
• Travel by swimming or by using rafts.
• Avoid sea serpents, kaiju, and sharks in the surrounding waters.
• Race against the island’s eventual volcanic eruption.

With the board changing as tiles vanish, routes to safety can become increasingly difficult. Adventurers may need to cross the water while threats patrol the journey, creating tense choices as players attempt to protect their highest-scoring people.

Survive The Island combines evacuation, changing terrain, and dangerous ocean travel in a race for points. Whether you swim, rely on rafts, or try to navigate around the island’s monsters, the goal remains the same: get your adventurers to safety before the island is gone.
