Talisman (Revised 4th Edition): The Cataclysm Expansion is a 2–6-player adventure for games lasting about 90 minutes, replacing the base game’s main board with a reinvented, post-apocalyptic realm.

Decades after an apocalypse destroyed cities, ravaged the land, and devastated the population, a new age is beginning. People are returning to establish settlements, nature is changing in bizarre and unprecedented ways, and traces of the former civilization lie scattered throughout the world.

The Cataclysm adds two decks that bring this altered realm to life. The Denizens deck represents the people inhabiting the recovering world, while the Remnants deck fills spaces with lost treasures, broken artifacts, and lingering effects of the apocalypse.

• An entirely new main board replaces the one found in the base game.
• Five additional characters seek the Crown of Command.
• Four alternative endings shape the quests of this changing world.

The new characters include the Black Knight, who has abandoned his castle and now demands gold from other Characters—or takes one of their lives. The Mutant has been transformed by magical energies, causing her form, Strength, Craft, and fate to continually change.

The Scavenger grew up after the apocalypse and survives by staying in motion and collecting Objects, hiding her most valuable finds so they cannot be stolen. Born during the magical outburst that transformed the Mutant, the Arcane Scion has learned to harness those energies to wield Magic Objects and cast Spells.

With its devastated landscapes, returning settlers, strange transformations, and alternative endings, Talisman: The Cataclysm offers a radically changed setting for the race toward the Crown of Command.
