Talon 1000

About this expansion

Talon 1000 is an expansion for 1–6 players that adds extensive fleet-building and scenario variety to the tactical space combat game Talon, with games taking about 90 minutes.

Talon depicts a conflict between the Terran Confederation and the invading Talon Empire. Its map presents important information at a glance, like a giant Heads-Up Display, allowing battles with many ships to unfold clearly and without excessive effort or confusion.

The expansion’s Fleet Tables combine scenario parameters with the flexible point values of its new ship designs. Players can select fleets and Ship Point levels or choose them at random, creating around 1,000 different scenario combinations and making it easier to balance opposing forces.

Five counter sheets add 170 new laminated, double-sided, hexagonal ship counters—more than three times the 54 ships included in the base game. The counters include additional copies of existing ships as well as new designs featuring variant weapon loadouts, bringing more options and variation to fleet construction.

New ship types include Terran, Talon, SCE, FFE, DDE, DDD, DDP, DDG, DDX, CLE, CLP, FFX, CLX, CAX, BCH, BCX, and Starbase designs. With its expanded counter selection and scenario tools, Talon 1000 gives fleet commanders more ways to shape battles while retaining the information-focused presentation of the original system.
