About this board game

Tao Long: The Way of the Dragon is a two-player circular abstract-like game that plays in about 30 minutes. Each player controls a dragon seeking to diminish the other while both remain bound together by the Tao.

At the heart of the game is a special board filled with tokens. You manipulate these tokens to activate your dragon, but the board you leave behind becomes the starting point for your opponent’s turn. Every action therefore creates new possibilities, changing the choices available to both dragons.

The contest is one of constant movement and adaptation. Dragons move across the board, attack one another, block each other’s way, and seek dominance. A decision that helps your dragon may also provide your foe with a different route forward, making each turn part of an evolving struggle.
