The Great Battles of Alexander: Deluxe Edition is a historical battle game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 240 minutes. It presents ten battles covering Alexander the Great and the Macedonian art of war, bringing together the original game, the Juggernaut module, and five additional battles.

This updated and expanded edition uses the Third Edition rules, adding new systems and revised content. Players can explore battles involving Danubian tribes, Illyrians, Greeks, Persians, Scythians, and Indians, with new maps for The Granicus and Chaeronea and an expanded map for Gaugamela.

The game emphasizes command structure, formations, and battlefield forces. Its armies include Persian Immortals and Kinsmen, Macedonian artillery, cataphracted cavalry, and even cataphracted elephants. Eighteen new Macedonian Commanders join Wing Commanders and Macedonian Contingent Commanders, while the Restricted Line Command system adds distinct considerations for Persian, Indian, and Greek forces.
