The Island of El Dorado: The Revenge of El Dorado is a 2–4 player strategy game with an approximately 100-minute play time, released in 2020. Explorers and Thieves continue their struggle for the untold power hidden in the island’s four shrines.

The conflict takes a dangerous turn when the Guardian of El Dorado rises from the depths. Enraged by the explorers’ conquests and the Thieves’ misdeeds, she summons beasts, giants, and ruthless natural disasters to reclaim the shrines and cleanse the island of its trespassers.

As the explorers and Thieves develop, their options expand. Enlarged explorer boards let players upgrade buildings and units, unlocking new abilities, military and economic tactics, and fresh paths to victory. Every decision matters as civilizations grow more prosperous and their armies grow stronger while the island itself pushes back.

For a fully cooperative experience, explorers can band together against the island’s varied and savage attacks. Working together, they must employ complex strategy to control the shrines while defending against the Guardian’s fury.

Alternatively, one player can take control of the Guardian as a completely asymmetric faction. In this role, they command beasts and giants and wield the power of the island against the Thieves and explorers, racing to secure the shrines. The Revenge of El Dorado offers a direct clash between expanding civilizations and an island fighting to reclaim itself.
