About this board game
The Liberation of Rietburg is a cooperative game for 2–4 players that plays in about 40 minutes.
Gors, Skral, and other creatures have invaded King Brandur’s fortress, Rietburg, and now occupy it. Only by working together can the heroes of Andor drive out the invaders and reclaim the fortress.
The heroes must complete four of six tasks to achieve their goal. However, the challenges awaiting them are not revealed at the start; players discover which tasks they must face during the course of the game.
- Control a hero with special abilities.
- Use cards to move from place to place and fight creatures.
- Find helpful items and meet new friends who support your efforts.
- Complete four of six tasks to free Rietburg.
Every player has an important role while the group pursues its quests. Heroes need to fulfill their duties without losing time, because failure to manage the available time means that everyone loses together.
A standalone game set in the world of Legends of Andor, The Liberation of Rietburg brings cooperative questing, hero abilities, helpful items, and creature battles to a focused adventure for 2–4 players. Released in 2019, it challenges the group to uncover its tasks and work together to liberate the fortress.
