The Lion Guard: Protect the Pride Lands

About this board game

The Lion Guard: Protect the Pride Lands is a cooperative family board game for 1–4 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. Based on the Disney Junior show The Lion Guard, it challenges players to work together against invading hyenas, snakes, and vultures.

Outlanders enter the Pride Lands from different locations while the Lion Guard heroes race to clear them from the board. The shared goal is to move Kion to the top of Pride Rock, where he can unleash the power of the Roar and save the day.

On each turn, a player draws a card. The top half shows where to add an outlander creature to the board, while the bottom half offers a choice between two heroes and shows how many spaces one of them may move. When a hero lands on a space occupied by an outlander, that outlander is removed.

• Cooperative play for 1–4 players
• Approximately 15 minutes of play time
• Four hero miniatures and 15 unique outlander standees
• A game board with 3-D features
• Power Cards with bonus effects, including removing any one outlander

Players must balance moving heroes to fight the invasion with advancing Kion toward the summit. The outlanders are also moving toward their winning space, creating a race against time for the whole team.

If Kion reaches the top of Pride Rock first, the Pride Lands are protected. If the outlanders reach their winning space, the players lose. With its recognizable characters, simple turn choices, and cooperative objective, The Lion Guard: Protect the Pride Lands offers a quick family challenge.
