The Masters’ Trials: Wrath of Magmaroth is a cooperative dice-crafting game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Players take the roles of elemental masters who join forces to confront Magmaroth, a vengeful creature born of earth and fire.

Each player has a character board and five dice used to activate the effects of their abilities. Across ten rounds, the masters face new minions, generate mana, and master new abilities that can be added to their characters. They must develop their powers carefully and work together before the volcano collapses around them.

Character creation is built around three different boards representing a master’s class, order, and weapon. These boards determine the character’s initial abilities and the abilities available to master during the game. Combining the boards in different ways creates new characters and supports a different experience in each playthrough.
