About this expansion
The Pillars of the Earth: New Craftsmen is a 2007 expansion for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It adds six new craftsman cards that can be used with the base game or with the expansion.
The new cards are mixed with the craftsmen from the basic game, and with those from the expansion if you are using it. The total number of craftsmen available each round does not increase, keeping the existing selection structure in place.

In games for 2–4 players, four craftsmen are available each round as normal: two on the spaces in Shiring and two below the board with the resource cards. In games for 5 or 6 players, five craftsmen are available, including three below the board.
Before the game begins, randomly remove one craftsman from each round and return those cards unseen to the box. This setup applies whether you are adding the new cards to the base game or combining them with the expansion.
The Pillars of the Earth: New Craftsmen was available through Spielbox magazine 6/07. The cards are also included in The Pillars of the Earth Expansion Set from Mayfair Games and in the German special edition.
