The Walking Dead: Surrounded is a cooperative game for 1–4 players that plays in around 20 minutes. Set among the abandoned remnants of human civilization, it challenges survivors to gather necessities, manage limited resources, and keep the ever-present walker hordes under control.

Each turn, players reveal a new card and add it to the growing map. One side introduces a location with a special rule or scoring opportunity, while its location bonus shows valuable resources that survivors can gather if they work together.

• Locations: Add new rules, scoring opportunities, and resources to the map.
• Characters: Use survivors, leaders, and walkers positioned along the card’s edges.
• Scenario goals: Coordinate your choices while trying to complete the objectives of the current scenario.

The reverse side of each card features four characters, with one character next to each edge. Survivors earn points and help with scavenging, while powerful leaders can make a major difference on the field—provided they are not struggling against one another for power.

Walkers can spread across the map in the blink of an eye, making every placement important. Players must carefully position locations and characters, balance the leaders, and maximize the team’s scarce resources before the situation gets out of control.

Released in 2024, The Walking Dead: Surrounded delivers a compact cooperative experience focused on careful card placement, shared decisions, and survival. Whether played solo or with up to four players, the fate of humanity depends on how effectively the team works together.
