About this expansion

The White Castle: Promo 1 is an expansion for 1–4 players, designed to be played with the base game, with an 80-minute play time. Released in 2023, it adds a double-sided yard tile and three dice tiles to the experience.

The new yard tile offers a choice between two different effects. On its front, you choose one of three members to send out. On its back, you gain any two resources, giving the tile two distinct options for use.

The promo also includes three dice tiles, each connected to a specific color and reward:

• Orange: Gain 1 Daimyo seal.
• White: Gain 1 point.
• Black: Take 1 step on the influence track.

To add these components, mix the new tiles with the relevant tiles from the base game. Specifically, they replace the base-game tiles that provide a resource of your choice, and they are distributed according to the rules of the base game.

The White Castle: Promo 1 is a compact way to introduce additional tile options while preserving the structure of the original game. Its double-sided yard tile supports different effects, while the colored dice tiles provide focused rewards through Daimyo seals, points, and influence.
