The X-Files is a 2015 board game for 2–5 players, with a playing time of about 90 minutes. One to four agent players work together to uncover global conspiracies and threats while facing a single opponent.

Players take on the roles of Mulder, Scully, and the X-Files team as they investigate the phenomenon at the heart of the series. Opposing them is one player controlling the Smoking Man and his nefarious network, creating a direct struggle between the agents and the Syndicate.

The game focuses on material from the first three seasons of the television series. This gives fans an opportunity to begin at the start of the phenomenon and revisit its early conspiracies and threats in a tabletop setting.
